Position Summary:

The MEAL Intern will provide day-to-day support to the MEAL Assistant Officer/Coordinator in managing the beneficiary complaint and feedback hotline response mechanism log, assisting with timely and appropriate handling of complaints, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date beneficiary data for dashboard reporting and monthly analysis. This is a learning-oriented, entry-level position intended to build the intern's practical skills in monitoring, data quality assurance, and learning processes across Human Appeal Pakistan's programs, under close supervision and mentorship.

Job Description:

  • Support the day-to-day maintenance of the beneficiary hotline log and complaint/feedback response mechanism under the guidance of the MEAL Assistant Officer/Coordinator.
  • Support maintenance and regular updating of the beneficiary database, helping ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of records.
  • Assist in preparing weekly update reports on hotline/BCRM status, case logs, and dashboard data for supervisor review.
  • Support the design of data collection tools (KoBo, ODK, or similar) and assist with remote/desk-based review of data collected by field teams, including basic translation/interpretation support in Urdu, Pashto, and/or Sindhi where needed.
  • Liaise, under supervision, with program, HR, and safeguarding teams to support a coordinated approach to complaint handling.
  • Actively participate in on-the-job learning, mentoring sessions, and capacity-building opportunities provided by the MEAL team.

Job Requirements:

Qualification:

  • Bachelors/ Masters in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field

Work Experience:

  • Fresh Graduate
  • Some experience in an office environment will be preferred

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated reliability regarding attendance and work performance;
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow up on tasks to completion;
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

Language Skills: 

  • Have good written communication skills and can communicate in both verbal and written Urdu and English.
