Position Summary:
- Assist in routine HR operations, ensuring compliance with Human Appeal policies and meeting all requirements and deadlines pertaining to HR in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the recruitment function, longlisting, shortlisting, making interview calls, and completing reference/security checks while ensuring that all documentation of the recruitment cycle is in place and as per organisational policy.
- Conduct orientation of new inductions after making necessary arrangements for new joiners.
- Update HR personnel files as per personnel file checklist and other HR related documents, including volunteers’ folders, time sheets & leave records, and meeting minutes, while ensuring confidentiality at all stages at field level.
- Assist HR Manager in compensation and benefits management of staff.
- Coordinate with the service provider for the efficient provision of health and life insurance services to staff.
- Assist HR Manager in the timely completion of mid-year reviews and annual performance appraisals of staff at the field level. Also, ensure the timely completion of probation evaluation forms of newly inducted staff.
- Make sure that HR databases are up to date all the time, and the monthly HR report is timely submitted to the Country Office.
- Manage staff attendance and coordinate with staff for timely provision of approved leave requests and monthly timesheets for further payroll processing.
- Coordinate employee recognition activities such as service awards, employee-of-the month, etc. in consultation with the HR Manager.
- Manage employee birthday calendar and OD tracker and make sure that staff birthdays, farewells and other events are celebrated efficiently and professionally.
- Provide administrative support in the management of all HRM tasks
- Perform other duties, as necessary and/or as requested
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of work experience in the field of HR Management with demonstrated experience in headhunting, audit response, and C&B management; specifically in development sector
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);
- Good planning, organizational, and analytical skills;
- Aware of safeguarding policy, Grievance handling, Child Labor policy, and Anti-harassment policy at the field level;
- Ability to prioritise workload whilst maintaining a high standard of work;
- Able to take initiative and work in a team;
- Ability to effectively liaise with key external clients and other relevant stakeholders;
- Ability to work in a complex humanitarian environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
- Serve as the Country office's focal person for safeguarding, gender, and PSEA.
- Fluency in English, along with good local languages knowledge
