Job Summary

The IT Technical Assistant is responsible for maintaining the organization’s computing environment by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance. This role provides essential technical support to staff and ensures that all hardware and software systems operate efficiently to support daily business operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, hardware, and software.

• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues reported by staff

• Monitor network performance and maintain local area networks (LAN) and internet connectivity.

• Implement and monitor virus protection software and ensure regular data backups are performed and secured.

• Maintain an updated inventory of all IT assets, including licenses, hardware components, and peripheral devices.

• Provide technical training and guidance to employees on the use of standard office software and specialized internal systems.

• Maintain logs of repairs and fixes and create "How-to" guides for common technical tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BCS) from an HEC-recognized university or a Graduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics paired with a 1-year Diploma in Computer Science.

• Proficiency in Windows/Linux OS and Microsoft Office Suite.Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Familiarity with database management and basic troubleshooting of hardware (printers, routers, etc.).

• Age Limit: 24-35 Years

• Ability to identify technical bottlenecks and apply logical solutions.

• Clear verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Willingness to learn new software tools and stay updated with IT trends.
