About Aiming Change for Tomorrow (ACT)

Aiming Change for Tomorrow (ACT), founded in 2012, is a community centred development organization working to empower children, youth, women, and vulnerable populations across Pakistan. ACT focuses on strengthening community engagement, building partnerships with government and civil society, and promoting inclusive development through key areas including Education, Life Skills Based Education (LSBE), Nutrition, Health, and Climate action. The organization is committed to fostering holistic development, enhancing resilience, and creating opportunities for marginalized communities to thrive.

1. Job Purpose

The Master Chef is responsible for overall kitchen leadership, recipe management, supervision of cooks and helpers, and ensuring meals are prepared safely, hygienically, and consistently for large-scale distribution.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise entire cooking process from preparation to final cooking.
• Plan daily menus based on approved nutrition guidelines.
• Ensure correct portion sizes and taste consistency for bulk meals.
• Oversee food quality, freshness, and safety before and during cooking.
• Assign duties to cooks, helpers, and bread-baking staff.
• Ensure proper use of big cooking pots, cauldrons, utensils, and burners.
• Maintain cooking timelines to ensure meals are ready on schedule.
• Inspect cleanliness of workstations and enforce hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with Logistics Officer for ingredients and stock issues.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Officer instructions and SOPs.

3. Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in bulk or commercial cooking.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and recipe planning skills.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and bulk food handling.
