Hiring of M&E Coordinator for 20-Months for a Community Based Monitoring Project

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional for a monitoring and evaluation role, with the following requirements:

1.               M&E Coordinator

Reports To: MEL Expert
Supervises: Field Monitors
Location: [Islamabad]

Duration: [Fixed Period – 20 months]

Expected date of Commencement: [15th January 2025]

Purpose

The M&E coordinator is responsible for overseeing the monitoring of the project field activities by supervising field monitors, ensuring adherence to the monitoring framework, and facilitating coordination with downstream partners (DSPs). The role includes preparing field plans, producing district-wise and consolidated reports, updating result trackers, and analyzing progress data to provide actionable insights. The Coordinator will act as a key liaison between field teams, project implementing partners, and the client to ensure effective implementation and reporting of monitoring activities, while upholding data quality and ethical standards.

Deliverables

  • Monthly field monitoring plan
  • Monthly updates on field monitoring activities.
  • District-wise monitoring reports submitted as per the reporting framework.
  • Consolidated quarterly monitoring reports.
  • Updated and submitted result trackers (quarterly).
  • Reviewed, analyzed, and reported progress data submitted to PMU (quarterly).

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • A Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, project management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of M&E, and reporting, preferably in development projects related to gender equality, social inclusion, or community development.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising field teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including implementing partners or downstream partners.
  • Proven track record of preparing high-quality reports, data analysis, and using monitoring frameworks for project evaluation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in data management, result tracking, and analysis using tools like MS Excel, SPSS, KoboTool Kit or other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with field teams, partners, and management units.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, field-based environment.
  • Knowledge of thematic areas such as gender-based violence (GBV), child marriage, social inclusion, and tolerance will be an advantage.
