We are an International Non-governmental Organization looking for  qualified candidate to fill the position of

                      Safety and Security Manager based in Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 

Responsibilities 

• Regularly review security situation, analyse trends and impact on the organization’s programs and advice the country management team accordingly.
• Prepare, revise and implement security guidelines and establish reporting protocols.
• Ensure implementation of security policies and procedures and make recommendations to ensure security / safety of staff and property.
• Travel to program sites (currently KP and Sindh Province different districts), also other part of the country and conduct regular security assessments, report on findings and advice on improvements.
• Maintain an up-to-date security plan consistent with Organization’s standards and ensure that all staff is trained and is well familiar with its contents.
• Regularly assess communication equipment needs and ensure that the necessary equipment is in place and is in proper working conditions.
• Liaise with the PHF security department, Security Focal Persons of all locations, relevant local authorities, UN agencies and foreign diplomatic missions and regularly share security updates.
• Establish and maintain an incident tracking system and ensure proper and timely submission of incident reports.
• Establish security protocols for the security of premises and regularly assess their adherence.
• In cooperation with logistics, supervise the condition of vehicles in accordance to rules and regulations.
• Teach basic personal safety and security to Organization’s staff
• Ensure all staff understand individual and collective responsibilities for safety and security
• Coordinate with Law Enforcement Agencies for the smooth flow of prior security information and security clearances from the agencies
• Support HR Officer, Liaison and coordination officer in project for NOC and MOU processes
• Provide trainings to our local partners staff

Your profile :

• Minimum master’s degree in social sciences e: g political science etc with 4 years’ experience or
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in social sciences with six years’ experience
• Preferably minimum experience of 4 years with UNDSS or other UN Agencies in Safety and Security function
• Retired Army officers can apply but must have experience working in INGO, NGOs and UN agencies
• Has attended the relevant trainings and have experience as a trainer
• Specialized certification on Safety and Security courses will be an advantage
• Good command of Pashto, Urdu and English.
• Ability to work under difficult circumstances.
• Good experience and understanding with relevant stakeholders
• Good coordination skills with stakeholders

what we Offer:

• Start Date: 1^st January 2025
• Duty Station: based in Peshawar but frequent travel to other part of Pakistan
• Duration of contract: 09 months initially (but extendable)
• Salary according to qualification and experience
