The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) was established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982. AKRSP is working in ten districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, two districts in Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and two districts in Sindh to improve the quality of life of the people in the programme area.
AKRSP is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Public Health Officers: Astore, Diamer, Gilgit, Thatta, Sujawal (05 positions)

Job Purpose:
The Public Health Officer will oversee and enhance the implementation of public health activities, with a focus on immunisation. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders to improve vaccination coverage, particularly targeting zero-dose, missed, and defaulter children in the specified regions.
Job Descriptions:
o Coordinate with district EPI teams, WHO/UNICEF, and health facility staff to ensure effective implementation of routine immunisation campaigns.
o Plan, supervise, and monitor fixed-site, outreach, and mobile vaccination sessions.
o Conduct training and awareness-building sessions for parents, caregivers, and community influencers to enhance routine immunisation in the targeted districts.
o Mobilize parents/caregivers, community influencers, religious leaders, and other key stakeholders for immunisation services.
o Generate detailed monthly reports on vaccination coverage, dropout rates, and zero-dose cases.
o Organize community engagement activities to promote awareness and participation in immunisation services.
o Coordinate with community health workers, including LHWs, to mobilize families for vaccination campaigns.
o Any other task from the supervisor.

Requirements:

Education: 16 years of education in public health, nursing, or a related degree.
Required Experience: Candidate must have minimum 2 years of experience in routine immunisation programs or public health initiatives.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge of EPI protocols and routine immunisation practices.
o Strong communication and community mobilization skills.
o Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
o Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.
