Essential Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be required to:
- Assist in preparation of MEL plan, and implementation to ensure adherence to Mercy Corps’ Minimum Standards, including the use of standardized tools, indicators, and documentation methodologies.
- Support the M&E teams in designing/updating M&E tools, as well as in guiding data collection and analysis as required
- Support M&E unit in design and implementation of assessments and other pre and post data collection and analysis tools.
- Actively support in any additional evaluation MEL activities including but not limited to baseline surveys, mid-term, PDMs, end-line surveys, evaluations, household surveys
- Regularly document lessons learned, best practices, program data analysis summaries, and evaluations and provide evidence-based information, success stories, case studies and other high quality, results-based documentation.
- Support Senior Coordinator Monitoring in development and updates recording tools databases and reporting formats
- Participate in SR staff meeting, review presentation of PR unit and finalize minutes of meeting, follow up with SRs on given timeline
- Support M&E unit in regular data analysis of all SRs and preparation presentation for different meetings
- Support M&E unit in preparation of monthly field monitoring plan after detail data analysis and support M&E team in conduction of field monitoring visits
- Follow-up of identified issues to ensure they are timely addressed
- Carry out field monitoring visits in line with the M&E Plan to ensure that the data collection tools are properly used in field and data entry is being done on required formats/systems following deadlines
- Review of M&E reports of M&E officers and prepare a summary of findings along with proposed way forward, for submission to Senior Coordinator Monitoring and Technical Advisor PPM
- Provide on-site technical support and capacity building to field teams for implementation of project activities.
- Conduct follow up of the recommendations made in the previous visits
- Lead the process of desk review of MPRs and PUDRs / supporting documents and
- Follow-up with SRs regularly to ensure timely achievement of targets in line with the monthly work plans of the SRs
- Coordinate with the M&E Officers to timely identify the issues in project implementation. Follow-up of identified issues to ensure they are timely addressed
- Led the process of desk review, verify, cross-check, the monthly and quarterly reports and prepare feedback at the reports in consultation with the Senior Coordinator Monitoring and provide technical support to M & E team
- Develop the capacity of the team, deepen understanding of their roles and assist with career development.
- Responsible for compiling and analyzing data and developing summary reports and share with PR unit
- Support to PR unit in GF, LFA, CCM and other review missions
- Document case studies and success stories and prepare and/or contribute to development of various project documents
- Follow all policies and procedure of Mercy Corps including Safety & Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Any other task or responsibility assigned by the Project Coordinator
