Position Objective: The purpose of this position is to support the nutrition project collecting, managing, and reporting data from Outpatient Therapeutic Program (OTP) sites. The position will be based at the department of health. Program and IM associate will ensure efficient data flow, compilation, and reporting to inform decision-making for nutrition interventions. Additionally, the role involves providing technical assistance to OTP sites and supporting, Department of Health PDMA and the Directorate of Nutrition on nutrition information management systems.
Relevant Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computers Science Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field and Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Job Description:
Mission 1: Data collection from OTP sites, compilation, and reporting
Tasks & responsibilities
- Regularly visit OTP sites to collect reports on, including admissions, treatment, and discharges.
- Conduct regular field visits to OTP sites for data verification, monitoring, and troubleshooting any data collection issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the nutrition information database.
- Provide on-site guidance and training to OTP staff on reporting requirements and data quality standards.
- Compile collected data into periodic reports, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all OTP data.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports on nutrition indicators for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze trends in the data to identify gaps, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Support Balochistan Nutrition Directorate and in preparation of presentations, dashboards updates, visualization of nutrition data.
Mission 2: Support to Department of Health, PDMA and Nutrition Directorate on nutrition information management
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist PDMA and the Directorate of Nutrition in strengthening nutrition information management systems.
- Provide capacity-building support to PDMA staff on data management, including data collection tools, reporting formats, and analysis.
- Collaborate with relevant government departments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure data integration and sharing.
Mission 3: Maintain coordination and communication with relevant stakeholders
Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintain close coordination with OTP site staff, district health officers, nutrition directorate and PDMA personnel to ensure seamless data collection and reporting.
- Act as a point of contact for nutrition information management, providing timely updates and responding to data-related queries.
- Ensure nutrition project is well represented on various forums, including Technical Working Group and other forums
- Share minutes and action points (with follow up) in relation to the decisions made through coordination among Govt departments, partner organizations and ACF.
- Prepare and present updates/briefings of the programme where and when required
Mission 4 : Ensure compliance with ACFs gender equality, child protection sensitivity and Safeguarding policies
Tasks & responsibilities
- Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender, Child Protection and other safeguarding policies
- Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens
- Help and build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability
