Job Description:

The area Manager will have the key responsibility of driving behavior change in the Water Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) thematic areas within the designated Tehsil. This role entails overseeing the complete implementation of the PRSWSSP Programme, which includes the BCC Campaign, supervision of the Tehsil team, and diligent monitoring of progress and effectiveness of activities in the target Tehsil.

Main Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation and Quality:

  • Supervise the overall field team and manage their performance to achieve set targets and outputs.
  • Plan, implemented, and supervised behavior change interventions focusing on thematic areas of program, i.e., Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
  • Manage the scope of the projects and realign the implementation strategies based on the learnings and challenges.
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality, and effectiveness of program activities
  • Account for programme resources, equipment, and information.
  • Orient the staff in the target Tehsil on programme delivery, policies, regulations, and other processes of compliance.
  • Organize, facilitate, and participate in trainings and advocacy events
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders including government departments, civil society, and others in the target Tehsil.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of the projects and being responsible for compiling and sharing the lessons learned from the interventions.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports and other reports as agreed with PMU
  • The Tehsil Manager must ensure the quality of field reports submitted.
  • Coordinate with the field teams to produce high-quality success stories and case studies
  • Gather the learning and document them for course correction in coordination with the field teams.

Communication and Advocacy:

  • Follow-up on to the process and advocacy agenda of the
  •  committee/forums.
  • Support the team in planning and implementation of community engagement and capacity-building activities for behavior change of local communities focusing on thematic areas of WASH.
  • Tehsil Coordinators/Manage ensuring effective implementation of communications activities of PRSWSSP with relevant stakeholders

Safeguarding, Anti-fraud, and Risk Management:

  • Comply with the safeguarding and anti-fraud standards in planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities and escalate safeguarding-related concerns /issues to the Safeguarding Focal Person, PRSWSSP

Finance, Grants and Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Finance Manager of  SPO and PRMSC to ensure all funds are disbursed timely and used as per the agreed work
  • Review spending and evaluate milestone performance as per guidelines set out by the PRMSC.
  • Undertakes any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
