1-Reporting and Coordination:70 % of Time

  • Write, edit and develop content related to the humanitarian response projects.
  • Coordinate and collect content from field teams for internal and external reporting.
  • Compile, review, edit and polish inputs received from the field teams for donor and government reporting.
  • Coordinate with the field team and partners for donor and other reporting to key stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the project teams, prepare situation reports, project letters, brochures, communications plan, one-pagers, social media, and other material that communicate the humanitarian response activities. Seek internal approvals for reports and social media posts.
  • Maintain and update Project progress/ output trackers/ minimum preparedness actions.
  • Compile and share updates related to humanitarian response for quarterly and annual CARE Global Humanitarian reports.
  • Compile, update, and share 5Ws matrices with coordinating bodies, including Clusters, Working Groups and PHF.
  • Respond to the ad-hoc reporting requirements by the CIP.
  • Works in cohesion with the team members for accurate flow of information across all thematic areas of the project.
  • Coordinate with and support team members to meet reporting & communication commitments and deadlines. Maintain and circulate a reporting matrix.
  • Coordinate with partners/stakeholders and ensure accurate flow of information within the Project team and with external teams within CARE and partner organizations, coordinating bodies and forums.
  • Build synergies among different stakeholders which includes CARE Project teams, Implementing partners, humanitarian actors, relevant Government departments and other key players.

2-Implementation: 15 % of time: 

  • Facilitate project teams in preparation and approval of partnership documentation.
  • Prepare requisitions and coordinate with the Procurement team regarding various services needed under the humanitarian response projects.
  • Maintains a calendar of activities/ events and coordinates with relevant teams for organizing the activities/ events.
  • Design and facilitate in the development of content for workshops, training sessions and meetings etc. 

3-Monitoring and evaluation and promote visibility of humanitarian response through relevant channels: 10% of time: 

  • Prepare reports for progress review, reflections, and learning workshops that can guide future Projects/Interventions.
  • Collect and compile success stories, case studies, and insights from the field.
  • Support the Humanitarian team to promote visibility of CARE emergency response projects through relevant channels in collaboration with the communications team.
  • Ensure that project documentation is compliant with CARE standards and that reports are prepared well in time.
  • Conduct all business in a manner that respects local culture.

4-Any other task as assigned by the supervisor: 05% of time: 

  • Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and team needs as assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Safety and Security is everyone’s responsibility within CI through full compliance and accountability (as per Principle ii of the CARE International Safety & Security Principles).

III. Job Specifications

A) EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, social sciences, and/or related field.

B) EXPERIENCE:

Required

At least 2-5 years’ of experience working in a similar position with the reputed National or International organizations at the Country/ head office.

Well aware of community dynamics and the humanitarian/ development sector Projects ecosystem of Pakistan.

Having experience of Humanitarian reporting

C) TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Basic knowledge in project reporting and communications, as demonstrated by successful work experience
  • Demonstrated basic practical experience in coordinating with donor agencies and partner organizations
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Fair understanding of project implementation, reporting, communications, and monitoring.
  • Understanding of design, approaches, and indicators for women’s economic empowerment and equality
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu; knowledge of any other local language will be preferred
  • Excellent computer skills (MS office)

IV. Contacts/Key Relationships 

The incumbent is expected to collaborate with Project team at the Country Office, Partners, and all CARE Staff.

V. Working Conditions and Level of Travel Required

The position is based in Islamabad and may require frequent travelling to different parts of Pakistan.
