DW Akademie is seeking an experienced trainer in interactive video production to support university lecturers and media trainers in Pakistan. The aim is to equip participants with practical skills to design and deliver engaging, clear, and visually rich video lectures that enhance student learning experiences in journalism and media education.

The training will help lecturers move beyond conventional classroom delivery by enabling them to create digital lectures that are interactive, accessible, and appealing to students. 

Ideal Candidate Profile 

  • Proven expertise in video production and editing for teaching, training, or educational contexts. 

  • Experience in training lecturers, educators, or media trainers in digital content creation. 

  • Strong understanding of the needs of journalism/media education in modern contexts. 

  • Familiarity with free or affordable video editing tools and mobile/laptop applications. 

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for adult learners. 

  • Willingness to travel to Pakistan in November 2025 (or deliver remotely if required). 

Scope of Work & Training Timeline

  • Needs Assessment with participating institutions to align training with their teaching goals and student needs.

  • Training Preparation (designing course materials, exercises, and practical tasks).

  • 2–4 Days of Training and Mentoring (in-person in Pakistan, with virtual delivery as a contingency if travel is not possible).

  • Post-Training Support (virtual Q&A sessions, mentoring, and reporting).

Key Training Areas

  • Producing clear, stable, and high-quality video lectures using laptops or smartphones.

  • Adding text bubbles, callouts, stickers, bumpers, links, and other visual elements to improve understanding and engagement.

  • Designing interactive video-based lessons that encourage participation and active learning.

  • Identifying and using modern, cost-effective tools and apps for video recording and editing, suitable for everyday teaching.

  • Ensuring content is student-centered, inclusive, and easy to follow in online and blended teaching contexts.

  • Exploring creative techniques such as visual storytelling, annotation, and layered visuals to simplify complex topics.
