Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator under the supervision of Programme Manager- Field Implementation, will lead the Socio-Economic inclusion project in KP province, based in District Peshawar. He/ She shall be responsible for overall field implementation, coordination and monitoring of the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and technical oversight to the implementation of operational elements of livelihoods program activities by working closely with the district stakeholders, donor, government and Human Appeal Country Office.
  • Be responsible for establishing and overseeing programme delivery mechanisms in place at each targeted area.
  • Ensuring effective planning for project activities, including timely beneficiary registration, communal needs assessments and development beneficiary engagement plans.
  • Ensure efficient and effective implementation of the livelihoods programme and related interventions at the community level.
  • Provide strategic and innovative solutions for building more efficient, coordinated, and reliable livelihood programmes that lead to better equip the communities and more responsive food systems.
  • Assist in the identification of and liaison with key stakeholders who can contribute to broadening and deepening the outcomes of the project.
  • Undertake field visits to assess the quality of field implementation of program activities and take corrective measures where necessary.
  • He/She shall be responsible for ensuring quality development of training material, community-level trainings and delivery of capacity building trainings in communities.
  • Address and solve problems that might arise between the community and Project teams, or among community members, during and because of the implementation of the project activities.
  • Document success stories, case studies and other reporting documents as required by the Programme Manager- Field Implementation.

Qualification and Experience

  • University degree in Disaster Risk management, social sciences, or management sciences or any other related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working on FSL and socio-economic inclusion projects, preferably with UN agencies.
  • Mandatory 1-2 years of project/team management experience.
  • Experience in the provision of administrative and logistical support and organization of workshops.
  • Experience in research, analysis, and report writing;
  • Experience in working with government officials and non-governmental organizations;
  • Demonstrated experience in working in complex working environments;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Access etc.) and experience in handling web-based applications.

Skills and Abilities

  • Good understanding of community participation and the integration of DRR in recovery projects.
  • Knowledge of PSEA, Protection & GBV, Gender & Inclusiveness in the recovery context.  
  • Knowledge of low-cost structural mitigation activities.
  • Ability to communicate in local languages
  • Diplomacy, tact and administrative skills to work with people at managerial and occasionally, senior government levels

Note: Position is subject to approval of donor funding. As, we are looking for immediate hires, we will be reviewing candidates on a rolling basis
