Position Objectives:

  • The Provincial Program Manager is responsible for managing & ensuring the execution of PHEP well in time in accordance with the defined Plan at Peshawar exclusively with support of field officers and support to Chitral team
  • Also by providing technical support to the Peshawar Field officers and District Coordinator, Chitral by engaging the Provincial thematic leads will make sure Program Planning, Management with special emphasis on Branch Development and Sustainability
  • Coordination with key Stakeholders and Disaster Management at provincial & district level.
  •  He/ she will assist the District coordinator in all routine matters by time to time visits
  • Ensure to share consolidated (from both districts & thematics) monthly, quarterly & yearly narrative reporting

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

  •  

Develop linkages and maintain liaison with provincial and district Government for smooth implementation of PRCS activities and coordinate with provincial stakeholders for efficient delivery of relief services in disaster emergency situations.

  •  

Ensure proper communication with concerned quarters at NHQ, district & in need based with IFRC with due approval of  Provincial Secretary.

  •  

Responsible for the planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programs.

  •  

Responsible for the development of Resource Mobilization and Fundraising plans to support financial sustainability process

  •  

Ensure timely collection of monthly/quarterly and annual reports from district branch offices and submit the reports to NHQ after properly fine tuning and with Provincial Secretary’s approval.

  •  

Provide technical support in organizing trainings, sessions, coordination meetings etc for district staff

  •  

Responsible for facilitating and conducting image building activities to enhance the PRCS acceptability among masses with an eventual end of resource mobilization and sustainability

  •  

Verify all the financial bills received from districts & PHQ expenses in line with submitted budget keeping focus on  purchase orders, vehicle movement requisition and requisition of fuel in consultation with finance staff.

  •  

Organize monthly online staff meetings with participation of NHQ & IFRC, develop agenda in consultation with Provincial Secretary and ensure participation of all staff in the meeting.

  •  

Coordinate and facilitate the Disaster Preparedness trainings for staff, volunteers and community members.

  •  

Staff performance & grievances or challenges are also to be dealt by PM in coordination with PHQ HR & Secretary

  •  

Perform other work related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Branch Secretary.

Education

Masters/ 16 years education in Social Science/ Management or in relevant field from HEC recognized Institute / University.

Experience

3 - 5 years of working experience relevant to , project management & technical skills on development of Sop’s, guidelines etc. Must have knowledge about NSD, Livelihood, Health & WASH or the management experience of managing the team. Strong monitoring, evaluation & analysis skills would be required.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Fluency in spoken and written in Urdu & English. Pashto speaking will be preferred  
  • Certification in Project Management would be added value
  • Excellent skills of imparting training courses for the staff and school communities
  • Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives
  • Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for monitoring and coordination purpose
  • Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)
