Established in 1992, the firm provides development and management consulting services in the areas of 1) Engineering and Infrastructure, 2) Social Sectors and 3) Environment. Our clients include large multi-lateral and bi-lateral donor organizations, major public sector agencies, and a varied range of globally active consulting and contracting firms. Geographically, the company work spans all four provinces of Pakistan and internationally in the UK and the US.         

We are seeking a qualified candidates for the following positions.              

Job Details

Position Title

Monitoring Engineer (Solar)

 

Number of Positions

Four (04) – One (01) position each for;

  • Islamabad (Based in ICT)
  • Lahore (Based in Lahore)
  • Karachi (Based in Karachi)    
  • Quetta (Based in Quetta)

Contract Type and Duration

  • Deliverable-based contract. Two full-day visits per month to each location, for a total contract duration of six (6) months, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
  • Minimum three (03) years of relevant experience in solar PV or renewable energy projects.

Job Description

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Visit to construction sites and assess progress and quality of works in relation to Quality Assurance and Site Supervision.

Quality Assurance:

  • Review quality assurance and quality control plans and related procedures are followed;
  • Review and approve contractor’s construction schedule, detailed designs, shop and as-built drawings;
  • Inspect material sources and materials’ tests.

Site Supervision:

  • Assist in project’s start-up;
  • Inspect and monitor time, progress, cost, quality and quantity of works and other agreed targets;
  • Certify payments and assist UNICEF in the control of variation orders;
  • Document project records that provide the necessary evidentiary and analyses in case of claims and disputes;
  • Ensure that works are executed in accordance with local Bylaws, national and international health and safety standards, quality standards.

Language

Fluency in English and Urdu.
