Job Title: Program Manager Livelihood

Position Objectives:

The program head will be responsible for coordination with partners and within departments on account of Livelihood programming implementation and capacity building initiatives. The Manager Livelihood will monitor and manage various rules of law related initiatives and coordinate, plan, supervise the implementation of various awareness training sessions, collaborations with other UN agencies /NGOs etc. He or she will also provide a narrative of the results on a monthly basis.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

  •  

To establishand maintain productive working relationship with the respective branches, partners and other UN agencies, INGOs, and NGOs.

  •  

To lead and take onboard the relevant stakeholders in the development of livelihood plan of action and determine budget for the key livelihood interventions in the flood affected Districts.

  •  

To Identify needs, develop concept note, project proposal and budgetsfor addressing the gaps in the livelihood sector.

  •  

To prepare monthly, annual and end-of-project narrative reports and other reports as required.

  •  

To prepare training agenda, sessions plan and conduct different types of trainings and simulations exercises at national and provincial level.

  •  

Work with the monitoring team to monitor program’s progress using the program indicator tracking tables.

  •  

Provide program update and information as required to senior management to assist with dissemination of information to management and donors.

  •  

Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on programmes and activities that enable informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.

  •  

Liaise with internal counterparts to ensure effective collaboration, monitor ongoing projects.

  •  

Support the identification, development and management of potential partnerships to collaborative working leading to improved food assistance packages.

  •  

Support the capacity building of the staff, partners and national government to prepare for and respond to livelihood assistance needs.

  •  

Provide guidance to support staff, acting as a point of referral and assisting them with analysis and queries.

  •  

To support Program manager to provide technical support on cash interventions, coordinating with other actors and sectors, ensuring good practice and accountability to beneficiaries.

  •  

To manage matters related to compliance, audit and ensure progress and financial reports in the respective quarts.

Education

  • Masters/16 year’s education in social sciences or in related discipline from HEC recognized institutions/university.

Experience

  • Minimum 05 Years’ experience in related field like Livelihood, CVA, Disaster risk Management, Food security and nutrition.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Creative, energetic, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated flexibility, motivation, and maturity

Travelling

Frequently traveling to the project area in Pakistan.
