Purpose The Interpreter is responsible for providing accurate, neutral, and confidential oral interpretation and limited written translation to support programme and protection activities. The role ensures effective communication between project staff and persons of concern, including interviews with PWS for case management, MHPSS consultations and interactions where beneficiaries face language barriers, enabling safe access to information and services.
The Interpreter’s role is strictly limited to interpretation and translation functions and does not include counselling, case management, documentation, data entry, referrals, or administrative support.
